Between history and charm, a paradise a stone’s throw from the city

With a centuries-old history behind it, Agriturismo La Striscia is a regenerating green oasis located in the countryside, among the vineyards of the Aretine hills, just one kilometer from the historic center of one of the most fascinating medieval cities in Tuscany.
Started in 1500 and enlarged in 1700, the villa was for a long time the summer residence of the Occhini family: it was the Count Pier Ludovico Occhini (1874-1941) who, in the last century, took care of the first restoration giving new life to spaces such as the flowerbeds and the garden, made in liberty style and decorated with oriental tubs and plants.
Currently rented to a private facility, the villa is managed by Ilaria Occhini, a famous theater and television actress who, during her career, has been directed by directors of the caliber of Visconti, Zeffirelli and Ronconi working alongside Vittorio Gassman, Marcello Mastroianni and Paolo Stoppa. In love with the theater as much as her own land, Ilaria Occhini dedicated herself to the restoration of the farm annexed to the villa, transforming it into an exclusive structure that currently boasts five charming apartments whose furnishings include paintings and furniture from the main villa, recreating the nineteenth-century taste.
Accompanied by a swimming pool and immersed in the vineyards of the rolling Tuscan hills, the Villa La Striscia agritourism will be able to offer you a unique and suggestive stay, projecting you into an atmosphere worthy of the works of Piero della Francesca, of which Arezzo is also the homeland.
